Have you yourself done some systems analysis or business analysis activities? If so, what job title or other role did you have while doing such work? Tell us about your experience. Got one good story of something that went great,. . . or didn’t??
Or if you’ve never yet had to do systems analysis yourself, I bet you have had to use an information system that was developed based on someone else’s requirements analysis. (For example, MyCWU and Outlook and Canvas were developed based on the systems analysis someone did. Did they do a good job of analyzing what you, the user really need?) Think of one particular information system and tell us about it. If you had been that analyst, how could you have improved the requirements definition so that system would have turned out to be more useful and usable?
