- What have you learned about critical issues impacting children at the global level? Consider in your response how the issues of poor health and hygiene, poverty, and malnutrition impact children’s basic needs, and the implications for their health and well-being.
- How do children in the United States fare in terms of the critical issues of poor health and hygiene, poverty, and malnutrition? Why is supporting each of these basic needs such a difficult challenge, both in the United States and around the world?
- Why is understanding the impact of these issues, both in the United States and around the world, such an important goal for child development professionals?
