Assignment  1. Marketing Strategy      
For this assignment, consider a business – any business. You are either the owner or the marketing manager. Describe a product or service.     
Describe the 4 Ps of your product/service (The Product or service itself, the Price, the Place – which is its distribution, and the Promotion – how is it being promoted). 
For example, RedBox has a price of 1.20 (Price) for movies (Product/service) or 1.50 (Price) for BlueRay movies (Product/Service). They use vending machines (Place/Distribution) located at various convenience stores, etc. (Place/Distribution). By locating at convenience stores (also Promotion) and using text alerts (Promotion) and email (Promotion) they keep their brand in front of us so we think about RedBox anytime we think about movie rentals. In fact, you could argue their price point is also part of their Promotion. 
Obviously, your paper would have to be longer than the example and you would have to explain how or why those methods are effective or not, but that is a quick illustration of how simple it is to see a popular product or service and identify their 4 Ps of marketing.

Assignment 2.   Financial Statements
In your book the three big financial statements are the Balance Sheet, the Income Statement, and the Statement of Cash Flows. There are also several Financial Ratios that can be determined using the information from these financial statements.
Choose TWO (2) of the Financial Statements and TWO (2) of the Financial Ratios and explain them. Talk about what they are and why they are important and what you may be able to tell about a company from these items.
This paper may end up a little longer than 2 pages (but maybe not). Please keep it to no more than three (3) pages.

Assignment  3.   (NO MORE THAN 150 WORDS PLEASE) Social Media Marketing  Collapse         
Discuss social media marketing. You can talk about ideas you have that could or should be used or just talk about some of the strategies that you have seen with Social media marketing (facebook pages that want you to like them, etc.)
You may also want to look up www.PayWithaTweet.com (you may have to copy and paste the link – sometimes clicking does not work inside of Blackboard). This site allows business owners (restaurants, authors, retail, etc.) to offer a way to receive something free (free soda, free copy of a book, free item at their store, etc.) for people just for tweeting about their product/service. The concept is that you can entice customers to tweet about you to get the word out and they get something for free in return.
