WRITE ANSWER : Resurrection is a more plausible view of the afterlife than reincarnation. The afterlife is an unknown medium that in many cultures and religions is believed to be the place of divine judgment. For example, in Christian and Catholic faiths, as well as Islamic faith, it is said that the afterlife is the place in which you are to rest depending on your actions in the material world, there is a Heaven for those who lived as the word of God said to, or Hell for those who did not follow the word of God.
Reincarnation is the belief that one’s mind or soul can be connected to another being. It is believed that people born at different times can be psychologically continuous with another. This theory of reincarnation is proved to be invalid by Bernard Williams; Williams experiment mentioned of two different men, living in two different times sharing the same memories. Although it may seem that there may be information to consider the possibility, Williams’s Reduplication Arguement negates that possibility. The Reduplication arguments states that if it were logically possible to that any one individual can experience memories of another, than it is logically possible that there is a third person that experienced the same. According to Williams this would be impossible because, “Numerically distinct people cannot be numerically identical.”.
Therefore leaving the only other plausible option, Resurrection. The belief of Resurrection is followed by many people of religious faith, for example in the Christian faith it is said that Jesus rose from the dead. However, what makes this view more plausible is the belief of Animalism; identical person are those with identical living human bodies. Animalism believes that what makes a person who they are is their individual body, and the components of the human body that keep them alive. The idea behind resurrection is that even when someone has passed away into the afterlife, as the bible states, when he day of reckoning arrives, even those who have passed will be resurrected into heaven.DUE TODAY 5 HOURS
