Topic: In what ways are protagonists in “Paradise Now” by Hany Abu-Assad and “A Borrowed Identity” by Eran Riklis similar or different?
Generally, this paper entails a brief analysis of two dissimilar writers encountered over the course. To be precise, this paper briefly analyzes Paradise Now by Hany Abu-Assad and A Borrowed Identity by Eran Riklis. These will be the films that I will use for my comparative paper. The main reason for choosing these two films is because they have presented engaging ideas and issues that are easy to relate with on real-life. From a personal perspective, an individual can comprehensively and effectively analyze and compare ideas that are more engaging and interactive hence why I choose the two films. In addition, the films have covered various ideas from the course learnings hence why they are essential for analysis in the comparative paper. The comparative paper will give a detailed analysis of these two films. The comparison will cover various aspects of the works including the similarities and differences of the films’ subject and ideas. To begin with, Paradise Now is a film by Hany Abu-Assad that shows how two Palestinian friends are recruited by a terrorist group so as they can become suicide bombers. These two friends to try to enter into Israel when armed with some explosives but however, the border guards are able to notice about their planned act of terrorism. Generally, the film is about terrorism within Israel and its borders. On the other hand, A Borrowed Identity by Eran Riklis is a film that depicts love. It’s based on a story of an Israeli-Palestinian teenager who falls in love with a Jewish student. The film covers the story of these and other characters. In conclusion, the comparative paper will show many aspects or subjects based on these films.
